Feeling the BITE

Great! This winter’s weather has been recorded as the coldest in 24 years.

What is going on?

It’s like the attack of Jack Frost!

Global warming anyone?

Now I may just be winging but when I got home today my hands, toes and nose were all numb, literally frozen like ice.

Wondering what on earth was going on, I did the “ol” Google search.

After reading many of articles I finally came across what’s making this city so damn cold!

Apparently according to the SMH (2008), the combination of “new” founded winds and dry air is causing temperatures to drop way way way below average.

Got it.

“…with the combination of light winds and dry air, it’s classic ingredients for very cold temperatures…,” said Meteorologist Julie Evans to the Daily Telegraph a week ago.

Okay Okay so…I must admit that I can’t completely blame the weather for me being so cold today.

This morning I wasn’t the most “responsible” one as I left wearing not the most “winter appropriate” clothing.

I was wearing jeans, a cardi and some boots. Who would of thought that wouldn’t be okay?

WOW was I wrong!

When I got to work I saw the forecast on the little plasma in the elevator. Thirteen degrees it said!

I had one of those moments where I had to double check. I asked myself, this is Australia right?

I knew it was going to be a fabulous day of freezing my ass off.

Sitting here now in the warmth, reminiscing on my freezing day, I am asking myself why I couldn’t of just left my apartment wearing my treasured household trackydaks along with my beloved slouchy jumper and uggs but then I suppose I would be giving the Abominable snowman a run for his money.

What gets me, is that I even came home to my roommate, who arrived from the Netherlands just two weeks ago, shocked with familiarity of the chilled weather.

What is going on in this world?
